THE SANKOFA Adinkra Stud Earrings feature a small pillow shaped Sankofa adinkra symbol. Sankofa translates to the term to go back and fetch it . Adinkra symbols were originally created by the Bono people of Gyaman. They were named after the Gyaman King Nana Kwado Agyemang Adinkra. The symbols were later adopted into the proverbial lexicon of the Ashanti peoples of West Africa.
